The Prologue

Welcome aboard, all ye tired travellers seeking respite from the crippling abundance of internet gunk out there. This first post heralds what is to be an onslaught of views, reviews, travel tales and whimsies on record. It is both at once a disclaimer and an acknowledgement, a warning and an apology for the reads ahead.

Credits go to my mom, who’s been behind me to start one of these nifty thought-recording things ever since I stopped blogging some 8 years ago. Needless to say, school was the most profound thing on my mind back then, so if you’ve had the fortune of visiting the moldy ruin that was my high school blog, you’d have been greeted with an array of whining posts on exams, school holidays (what are those, again?) and an eyesore of a layout. 8 years hence, you shall be treated to more engaging, thought-provoking topics along the lines of grad school-induced insomnia, waking up on time (answer: I’ll never know) and general debates on avocado versus hummus as a bread spread (answer: avocado hummus!)

Things this blog will cover:

  • Book reviews
  • Travelogues
  • My very important opinions on unimportant stuff
  • Most of all, stories. Stories about people who exist and people who don’t, things that matter and things that don’t. And places – places I’ve been to, places I’ve dreamed of going, places I might never visit, places that don’t exist.

Things this blog will NOT cover:

  • My research. That, my darlings, is a whole different part of my life, and I like to compartmentalize.
  • The news. Go to Twitter, y’all.

With that, I leave you to willingly peruse this place. If you find anything here worthy of taking back into your life, make sure you let me know that this drop on the blogosphere made a difference to you.

World, be entertained.

Toodles.
